Activating and Disabling Text Messaging

Learn how to turn on and off text message for a location.

Vivery text messaging functionality is only visible to Organization and Location admin users and is intended to be used only for messages related to an agency's food programs.

 

 

Activating and Disabling Text Messaging

Before adding contacts or sending messages, a location’s text messaging tool must be enabled. To enable text messaging, click Communications in the left navigation menu then click Activate Locations.

Choose the location from the Dropdown. If your organization has more than one location, each location must be activated individually. When you have selected a location, click Enabled.

 

Note: Activating text messaging automatically adds a quick link to your map listing that allows map users to sign up to receive text messages. 

 

To disable text messaging click Disabled. You can disable and re-enable text messaging at any time without losing data such as contacts or previous messages.
