Adding and Managing Images on a Location Profile

Learn how to add images to a profile, reorder the image gallery, and delete unwanted images from a location profile.

Adding Images

Photos can be added to the location profile to help the listing stand out from others in the search results. Providing images that guide agency patrons through using a service is a great way to help them feel at ease and prepared. Adding images of your front door, entryway, parking lot, or other applicable area can resolve confusion on where to go if visiting the agency for the first time.

NOTE: Photos with client faces shown must have a waiver on file. Please contact the associated food bank network if you have questions about image consent and guidelines around clients being shown on an agency profile.

Navigate to the Locations tab in the left navigation menu. Select your chosen location by clicking on its name.

This will open the Location Details page.  Scroll down to Images and click the Edit icon.

Click Upload under Build Your Gallery to choose the images to upload from your computer. Supported file types include .png and .jpg. Recommended image size is 1024px x 768px.

Once uploaded, they will appear in the field to the right.

Rearranging Images

Images can be re-arranged by first clicking the sideways List icon in the upper right corner of the pop-up and selecting Rearrange.

The images will be bordered in light green and can be dragged into the desired order. The image appearing farthest to the left will be the main image.

Deleting Images

To delete images, click Select in the Location Gallery

Then, click the images you would like to delete. Selected images will have a light green check in the bottom corner. To delete, click the Trash icon. To deselect the images, click Cancel. Deleting an image cannot be undone.

Click Save Changes when finished.

Best Practices for Location Images

Adding images to a profile is a great way to help map users know what to expect when coming to visit a location for the first time. Here are some tips and tricks to use your image gallery to the fullest:

Add a picture of the location’s entrance. Adding an image of the front door or entrance of a location can be a great way to help neighbors know they’re in the right place. This is especially helpful if the entrance is in the back of a building or otherwise difficult to find.

Add a picture of signage on the location. Adding an image of a sign for an agency visible from the road or other visual indicator that a neighbor is in the right place can do wonders to help people feel prepared to visit the location.

Add pictures of the interior of the location. Adding images of the location’s interior helps create a sense of familiarity upon visiting.

Get consent from any person featured in your images. If any images you feature in the gallery include people, especially neighbors, you must get consent from each person to have their likeness featured in your profile.
